Different modes

(Filter mode optics)

Electrons from converted gammas produced at -4.5 mrad

  1. Load relevant file
  2. Set Converter to Lead
  3. Remove all scintillators from the beam (especially TRIG 1 which carries in addition 10 mm of lead)

Pions from the decay of lambdas and kaons produced at - 4.5 mrad

  1. Set converter to air
  2. Load relevant file
  3. Put "trigger 1" into the beam. This scintillator carries 10 mm lead that absorbs electrons in the beam
  4. Open up collimators (there would be too many files if we also separated electron files and files for hadrons from lambda and kaon decay)

Secondary pions and protons

  1. Load relevant file
  2. Make sure that the converter is out (..?)

Muons

  1. Load relevant pion/proton file
  2. Displace C8 and C9 off axis ( e.g. 40mm, 45 mm)
C8 and C9 are put assymetrically (i.e.40/45) to get rid of everything else but muons Main Bend downstream to define the momentum of muons.
or
  1. Load relevant file if it already contains C8 and C9 off the axis
