Different modes
(Filter mode optics)
Electrons from converted gammas produced at -4.5 mrad
- Load relevant file
- Set Converter to Lead
- Remove all scintillators from the beam (especially TRIG 1 which carries in
addition 10 mm of lead)
Pions from the decay of lambdas and kaons produced at - 4.5 mrad
- Set converter to air
- Load relevant file
- Put "trigger 1" into the beam. This scintillator carries 10 mm lead that
absorbs electrons in the beam
- Open up collimators (there would be too many files if we also separated
electron files and files for hadrons from lambda and kaon decay)
Secondary pions and protons
- Load relevant file
- Make sure that the converter is out (..?)
Muons
- Load relevant pion/proton file
- Displace C8 and C9 off axis ( e.g. 40mm, 45 mm)
C8 and C9 are put assymetrically (i.e.40/45) to get rid of everything else but
muons Main Bend downstream to define the momentum of muons.
or
- Load relevant file if it already contains C8 and C9 off the axis
